my attention was captured

 and held captive

 so much so,

 I almost missed this tiny inhabitant 

 snacking on some leaves in the sun.

Recently returned from a visit to my hometown Huntington Beach in fabulous California.

It's still beautiful and fun, just like I remembered.

It felt good to get back to my roots near the ocean and my family.
